Assertiveness is getting the attention and the respect you deserve while at the same time, respecting the views of the person you are talking to. It is a 2 way process consisting of adult, professional and constructive dialogue. Assertiveness is not being passive, or aggressive, it is somewhere in between. This module gives you the confidence to apply the skills of assertive behaviour in the workplace so benefiting yourself and your team.
