Ensure All staff who are responsible for the care and treatment of our service users have the skills to effectively identify and manage their rick.  Level 2: Training based on Clinical Risk Policy. Topics include Policies and Processes for management of risk, Consent and patient information, Governance issues relating to risk management including Clinical Supervision, Observation of service users, Investigation of incidents, complaints and Claims, Learning Lessons.

Objectives
  • Ensure all staff who are responsible for the care and treatment of our service users have the skills to effectively identify and manage their risk

    Level 2: Clinical risk management training for all qualified staff to introduce them to the principles of clinical risk management.  This training is based on the Clinical Risk Management Policy.  Key to this training is that essential service areas must ensure local processes for effective risk management relating to their particular clinical speciality i.e. depending on the clinical need of their service users.

    Topics include policies and processes for assessment and management of risk, consent and patient engagement, governance issues relating to risk management including observation of service users, record keeping, clinical supervision, l earning lessons, management of suicide risk and case studies.
