Mandatory training is the training that is deemed essential to your role. All staff complete general and local inductions and core online training. Role specific training is then attended to ensure you are complaint and the Trust is meeting its statutory requirements. The drop down list below will show you how to manage your training.

Training is delivered online and face to face, there are also workbooks available for some of our modules.
Online courses are allocated automatically based on your training needs. As a minimum you will complete your core mandatory training in this way. PLEASE NOTE: Our online training is completed through virtual college, online training through ESR is for professional development only. Our face to face courses are booked and managed through ESR. They are delivered primarily at The Learning Centre, Stafford and The Redwoods, Shrewsbury. These guides will show you how to book and if necessary withdraw from a course:
Workbooks can be found on the Trust Intranet. We are only able to accept workbooks for certain staff, if you are unsure of your eligibility please contact the Learning & Development Team.
A monthly report is produced which will inform you of compliance within the mandatory training modules. You can look at your teams record on ESR to monitor their progress. As a supervisor you also have the ability to book your staff onto courses and withdraw them from courses.
The Learning & Development Team are notified by recruitment of new starters. They then plan your initial training schedule and contact you and your manager with full details. All new starters are expected to complete training as soon as possible.
