As from April 2015 all new health care support workers (nursing and AHP) must complete the care certificate in their first 12 weeks of employment.

All new starters must complete Trust induction, mandatory training, the Trust's Care Certificate workbook and attend a Compassionate Care Worker workshop.

Short Synopsis:  This workshop is designed to form part of the Care Certificate and develops the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to deliver a high standard of fundamental care.


 

Aim: to provide public confidencein the service we deliver which is provided by staff with the fundamental skills and understanding of the care they give.

 

 

 

Objectives:

  • To support and guide the new healthcare support worker to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for them to incorporate into their new practice role and help them develop professionally
